EYMARD DIOKNO EJE was born on August 6, 1970 in the City of Manila. He is the eldest among the four children of spouses Lucas and Estrella Eje, both government employees.
As a child he had big dreams and a positive outlook in life. He started his career as public servant at the age of 24 as Legislative Staff Assistant in Paranaque City, and transferred to judiciary after a year. Since he wanted to serve the government even better, he took up Bachelor of Laws and graduated in 2010.
In 2009, while still in the college of law, he was promoted as Executive Assistant VI/ Chief of Staff of Court of Appeals Justice Agnes Reyes- Carpio. In January 2017, he was appointed as Presidential Staff Officer V/ Consultant at the Office of the President- Presidential Management Staff. After three months of the same year, he was appointed Assistant Secretary of the Department of Transportation where he is currently in charge of Mindanao Projects which includes Mindanao Railway Project.
